The Guardian Scarf
A special collaboration between Londolozi and BASSET.
There is something about the wild that stays with you long after you leave it.
Hand-painted in rich, earthy browns, the new Londolozi x BASSET silk scarf draws its story from the pathways that weave through Londolozi. Ancient animal trails shaped by movement, memory and belonging. At its centre, the geometry of the Flower of Life meets the delicate form of the Leopard Orchid, a reminder that strength and softness so often exist side by side.
And then there is Leopard. The quiet guardian of the threshold. A symbol of instinct, mystery and the courage to follow your own path, even when it takes you somewhere unexpected.
Together, these details make the scarf feel like a small piece of Londolozi to carry with you. A tactile reminder of the wild, of stillness, and of that feeling of returning to something deeply familiar within yourself.
Each scarf begins as organically certified silk, naturally tea stained and then individually hand painted by hand. No two are ever quite the same. The brushstrokes shift, the colour settles differently, and every piece carries its own small imperfections and character.
It is a piece to wear, wrap, gift, keep, display and essentially always return to. It is a tactile reminder of time spent in the wild, of the beauty found in its smallest details, and of that feeling Londolozi has of drawing you back to something instinctive and familiar.
